I'm not too familiar with the Honda clone engines. However, I'm moving your thread to the Carts, Buggies, and UTVs Forum, where I hope it will get better exposure.

Welcome!
That's an engine that's similar to the XR200 (including the OHC), but it also has electric start. It's a platform that many of us here are familiar with; what sort of specs are you after? eBay is your friend for parts.

That looks like some of my handywork.
Hooper imports has wiring diagrams that should help.

i was looking for a manual with diagrams and specs on repair and assembly. i have to say, it's a pretty reliable engine. the only reason i'm not driving the kart right now is because the axle snapped because someone drilled a hole through it. the welds are pretty scary and the wider slicks are supposed to be on the back, not the front. as for the wiring harness... it used to be worse, i pretty much rewire the thing every time i get bored. so the wiring diagram would be almost useless, thank you though. i'll check ebay for parts, the engine has no actual gaskets, they're all form-a-gasket, so i would like to get a whole new set. is there any way to tell what the engine came out of? that has always bothered me. and also, what is the little brass piece that comes out of the transmission, under the sprocket?
thank you |

I didn't spot a brass piece under the sprocket, so I'd need a close-up pic. The engine isn't necessarily out of anything specific; our Chinese friends might have created an amalgamation between the CG and the XR. In any case, parts won't be too tough to find, since that very engine is in several Chinese dual sport bikes (I think they're called GY-5 bikes, but Kato can confirm).
