Performance parts

Just got my prototype valves in.
Next up flow bench testing, then dyno.

More goodies on the way.

Are you planning anything over the top, like a five angle cut?

1,3, 5, radius are all the same effort. Just change the cutter.

I have a Sunnen VGS-20 in the shop. Makes this operation so easy.

Nice project but..?

1 year ago , read my moto " owner manual " said after 1000 km check and adjust valves , totaly my fault.

Good but " owner manual " not added valves clearences , later i search surf on internet universe

Documental a video (or a user said, i forget,) same type zs177mm said 0.15 mm exhaust , 0.10 mm intake

And i get that settings , cam shaft signs is ok , topdead is ok , sett after performance is down , and urgent need 100 kilometer range drive wrong values total 200 kilometer but on road request high performance ı used my moto full thortle.

And happy end....... motocycle electrick start is ok non problem , but kick start isnt work... later hard start too electric to.

Checking my intake valve example, old.. (damaged up valve, down valve is my reserve/replecament valve intake it normal)

Damaged valve left side.

On pictures maybe hard seeing, but on eye and hand control disaster sharp same a razor damage. and dimension smallest corosion.

İ just remending , my fault big fault, extreme drive = but my moto material (metalurjic valve smooth) tolerated my fault and save me better or heavy damaged my motor or cyclinder head.

İ think if u used better hard steel material on our modift, moto cyclender head maybe cant tolareted any failed..

(Tarzan style lang is awesome : ) ) i hope understand me

The valve lash for the ZS177MM/NC250 engine is as follows.

Intake Valve: 0.04 - 0.06mm
Exhaust Valve: 0.04 - 0.06mm

Co2,

Are you saying the valve face was damaged from too much clearance?

Or some other issue?

" Are you saying the valve face was damaged from too much clearance? "

too much clearance + our modfy new valve , maybe better hard steel , any a fault on valve sett = hard material valve heavy damage our moto cylender head damage.

Yes , i later learned that clearenced 0.04 mm , 0 .06 mm , and i posted on Turkiye forum of motosiklet.net/ my moto topc = http://www.motosiklet.net/forum/moto...m-basligi.html

And coming many posts said interesting very tight values, impossible, bla bla bla , but all forget metalurjy is on techno age, and this motor tight tolerance high compression , and this moto is " water cooled ". i think all mixed old version air cooler moto type clearences.

İ learn this, but learn price is expensive for me^^

Note ; maybe versions is different idk , my moto is zs177mm 5 gear and carburator version, maybe different EFİ zs177mm idk.

I can see the honed razor sharp edge at the top of his valves. The metal is beat so thin it is falling off.

The valve lash specifications are the same for both versions of the ZS177MM/NC250 engine, whether the engine has a carburetor, or EFI.

Yes, that is a case of major valve recession.
