Good weather ride
We finally got some good weather in SW New Mexico so went for a quick ride. Has been very cold and windy with some snow for weeks but today was low 60's with no wind so i rode up to Pinos Altos and across the mountain trails and came back to silver city on the opposite side and did some side trips up to the radio towers. This is my first ride with the new
folding gear shift lever and heavier duty handguards . Also the new mirrors which worked out great as they did not need adjustment even on some rough trails and the extra visibility they offer over the stock mirrors was great. |

Also found a small mining entrance but all i got was big no make that very big black flies , no bats either , the flies must have chased them off.

Bike look great. I see the hand guards worked out. Wish the weather was that nice here. Looks like rain for the next few day.

We were not expecting the weather to be this nice either as Silver City is about 6000 ft above sea level plus it is usually very windy this time of year . The towers are probably 7500 to 8000 ft ? and the views are great. It really was great to get out on the bike, its the best $1300 i've spent and the bike is exactly what i needed to get out and explore.

Thanks again for the tips on the hand guards and gear shift lever. Hopefully after the rain you will get a chance to ride.
