Yes me and Mcfailbutter (Jay) live in Stockport Ohio and now have 2 fellow Hawk riders in the area to ride with and Jay's cousin Silas that has a 400cc Honda scooter that can easily outrun us lol.
The TBR7 is a great bike for the price and it sits maybe an inch shorter than the Hawk. Jay and I are both vertically blessed, I'm 6'2" and he's close to that. At 5'9" the TBR7 will be kinda tall for you but for $75 you can lower it 3 to 4 inches. I dropped my Hawk 3" in the rear so it would be easier to swing my leg across it and raised the front 1.25" just because I don't like the China bikes downhill syndrome. We're too far apart to be riding buddies but we can definitely assist you with any questions about the TBR7 or Hawk. I'm also a certified motorcycle mechanic that worked 5 years in the industry and there's nothing complicated about these bikes. Let us know if you get one. |

Inseam!
Being 5'9" tall really doesn't tell anyone squat about being able to kick a leg over a bike and flat foot/tippy toe it... are you all legs like Stacy Keibler? Or short and stubby legs like a gnome? Welcome to the forum btw

Looks like I am going to be purchasing the bike, this coming week. Probably wouldn’t get it till the next following week. I’d like to know more about the $75 investment in lowering. I know it has the adjustable shock and was hoping to dump that down as low as possible and make it. Yeah, that might be a little far to be riding buddies, but it is nice to know that there are people somewhere close by. I will probably ask questions, and need pointers on fixing and upgrading. As far as my inseam, my jeans are usually about 30 inches so yeah. That’s my concern.

Haha Azhule! Yeah my inseam is 34" but I'm 47 with bad arthritis so even with the bike lowered I struggle a bit to get a leg over.
Tom just search the forums for aftermarket monoshocks, there's been quite a bit posted about them. And wait till ya get the bike before you decide if you'd like it lowered. |

Tom, you can check out my posts on the BMS250 that I bought for the mrs, and the shorter shock, and the seat cut. megadan also posted some info on shock spacers. onelegged also assisted me with the shock info. northrider, here, cut the seat on their BMS, and has some posts.
Azhule…..yes I have shorter legs like a gnome....gotta get a steppy stool, and a ladder as everybody, puts things out of reach...LOL!!!!! 36/30 jeans....yup shorter, older dude. little story....."if I was nose to nose, my toes were in it, if I was toes to toes, my nose was in it." LOL....Ive had too many cups of coffee already!
