dreaming of a KTM300

i m thinking of rounding my stable off with a ktm300 at the end of the financial year (here that s end of june). ktm or husky (premixed) or a beta (which has oil injection) are the only three options here (unless you d go old timer restoration). haven t had a two stroke for a long time. any ideas or advice?

Is there any real difference between the KTM and the Husky (apart from the plastics)?

Me, being exotics fetishist, I'd go for the Beta (I had a GasGas EC300 up to two years ago). The guys on ktmtalk.com seem to rave quite a bit about them.

I would like another GasGas or a Sherco..
but i'm not young any more & can't aford to come off
I just don't bounce like I use to..
If I was to get another 2T prob be a Sherco Xride..

KTM is a good bike.. but I would never own one
every man and his bloody dog rides one..

Get the Beta....

gents, thanks for the input. the ktm dealer is down the road from me, BUT the beta is probably the way to go, you re right pete. the oil injection gives the bike a more useful range and seat height is an inch lower than the ktm. i like that, that s tall enough.
