Help with agb 36 apollo 250 dirtbike
Hi guys I'm new here. Just got my apollo 250cc dirt bike in. So far so good.
Bike is quick looks good but I will be doing mostly trail rides so I would like to get new sprockets and maybe a exhaust system. Anyone know about after market parts I can get and where? What parts are compatible with this bike? Thank you |

Sweet bike! If you give us a close-up shot of the engine, we can tell you which type you have.
Remove the rear wheel, remove the sprocket and measure it. You'll need to know the number of bolts holding the sprocket, the bolt circle and the hole size. From there, we can hopefully guide you. Measure the distance between the pins of the chain. Tires, chains, fuel filters, clutch cables, etc are easily found at www.rockymountainatvmc.com or www.bikebandit.com

Ok I'll take a pic when I get home.
I have the Manuel for the bike and it says that it's a 530 58mm 37t 4 bolt Ill also check those website out. I want more torque bc I do mostly trail rides. How big of a rear sprocket should I go |

they still haven't got back to me.
yes 58mm is the center hole. Its a 37 tooth in rear and 14 in front. Can i just drop the front down to a 12? Do i need to touch the rear? |

Yes, you can just drop it down to 12, but don't go any smaller. You might need to pull a link from the chain, but hopefully not.

Looks sweet. Same basic bike as my own Baja 250 (posted pix in New Member Intros). I like mine a lot. But even shorter gearing? Wow, you must really want to scale cliffs. Mine is already geared so short it tops out at about 40 mph, wound out in 5th. 2nd gear is still just about walking speed...
Exhaust system? For more power? Or just more noise? Does the stocker come with an integral spark arrestor? Mine did. Anyway, enjoy it and welcome aboard, from one newb to another! |

the bike as is has not much pull.
i do a lot of trail rides in the catskill so speed isn't my thing. Exhaust would be great but i can't find a after market that will fit. Any suggestion? Beside the shorter gearing you think i will gain some good torque? Happy for all the help everyone is giving me |

You'll fully utilize the torque that engine makes with a lower ratio.
Spud likes the FMF Turbine Core II for a slip-on muffler.

hey guys update .So replaced the 14 tooth sprocket with a 12.
noticed a difference in lowed which i wanted. Any other things i can do to increase power? |

Carb change--Weldangrind could link you to the place on Ebay that sells Chinese-made Mikuni carbs which he likes because of the ease in which to find and change the jets. I think the carbs are under $40.
I believe other things are to use a K&N air filter, and figure out which exhaust can be slightly modified for your bike--both would require jet changes. There is not much to do with the actual engine. While they are 'Honda-like' they do not seem to accept internal performance parts adapted from Hondas. I would stick with sprocket changes (change the rear, too), carb, air filter, and exhaust (although that would involve modifications).
