Wow 38 views and no response! Anyone replace Clutch Lever?
Clutch lever got broke anyone know part # or a good place to buy one
1998 hsung 200gy ty maybe a stupid question i guess! |

bring the remains of the old one in to a shop, they probably have a similar replacement

Levers and perches are largely generic. Bring the lever and perch in to be matched up, like Wild_Alaskan says. I usually pay around $10 to $15 for a complete assembly.

The bike shop didn't even want to look. He said it would take for ever to look. Maybe he was idiot or something.

He was certainly an idiot. A lot of shops keep the lever or lever / perch assemblies out in the open where you can find what you need. Make sure that the cable end hole is the same diameter.

In the spirit of Christmas, if you were local, I would give you one (a complete generic assembly for a 7/8 bar) Eastern Canada.
Shipping will cost more than what you can source one for locally ($15). It is only when you start getting specific (eg: Yamaha Virago replacement clutch lever cost me $22 less 10%) might it get expensive. |
