i have a 110cc full size sports atv and its electric start and i wanted to know what a cdi is do i have 1 since my atv is electric start cause ive seen racing ones and i want 1

yes you have a cdi i would suggest you dont change the dirrfence if any is the rev limiter isnt on the racing model, so it will rev more i have sold a few performance boxs i havent noticed a diffrence if you could i doubt you would have a engine very long, also im not sure there really is such a thing as i have never seen one hit the limiter but i do have one from mrp that is adjustable for more information on how cdi works http://www.btinternet.com/~jhpart/bkns125a.htm it a little long but uses a ct90 for examples so its basicly the same for everything on the forum

so phil your saying not to get one or my engine will be messed up because the one i want has a rev limiter and adds 8-10 percent more horsepower

the gains are made at rpms above what you run the motor at unless you want it to blow apart (7800-10000) and you may already be able to do that as it costs $$ to put the limiter in so, most chinese cdi dont have them anyway order yourself a ngk Iridium plug. youll b e happier

The general consensus seems to be that they are no better than stock. In my experience, they were not even as good as the stock one.

Edit: that one looks the same as the one I bought for my pitbike.
The bike is faster with the stocker.

no it wont blow it to bits but if you want to be faster look for big bore kits exhausts and a bigger carb
