Broz250 lowering and headlight

Hello everyone,

My father is 71 years old and bought a Broz250 motorcycle. He doesnt plan to do any serious offroading with it, at best he will ride it across some grass. Anyway the bike is to tall for him and he feels unsafe and wants to lower the bike. Can anyone tell me whats needed to do this?

Also I noticed when we were putting his bike together, the wire harness on the front of the bike had 1 connector with some electrical tape and a cap. under the cap there was a resistor plugged in. It was a white 4 prong connector. It fit the headlight plug perfectly. But I don't understand why the resistor was there and the cap. why didnt it just come unplugged so we know thats where the headlight goes. Anyway when we plugged in the light neither of the 2 lights for the headlight come on. All other lights work fine, signals, brake ect. Did we somehow miss the headlight connector and this resister and cap is used for something?

I'm thankful for any help.
