Kayo S200 carb upgrade recommendations

Hello Ladys and Gents,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a carb upgrade for a Kayo S200. It has a PZ30. I'm eyeing the NIBBI PE30.

Looking for recommendations the carb upgrade and a market place to source parts.

The stock carb is pretty much crap. Ran for 2 hours then went rich and bogs out. So something adjustable/tunable and rebuildable would be awesome!

Thanks!

If going with the Nibbi, you will need to go with the PE28. The PE28 is a smooth bore so it will flow about the same as the PZ30.

Thanks for the info. Pls excuse my ignorance but I just assumed the number was in reference to the mm size.

The PZ30 is a tapered bore with a choke plate so it basically its a restricted intake velocity.

The Nibbi being a smooth bore has less restriction which means greater air volume potential at a reduced velocity..

the issue being 200cc is not enough suck to make use of the PE30 smoothbore resulting in velocity drop and poor A/F tune.

the PE28 is still 'bigger' than the PZ30... even if the nominal exit hole diameter suggests otherwise.

at 300cc/20hp the PE30 starts to make sense.

I would go with the Nibbi PE28FL. It will perform better than the PZ30. https://amzn.to/3RIMvEU

Holding off any upgrades until it gets a new factory carb. Turned it back into the shop since it's still under warranty. Maybe there'll be more info out about which carb upgrade is best in a few months.

Hey there, do you have any updates on your Kayo S-200, and getting an upgraded carb for it?

I've got a family friend with one, and it's fun for his kids, but like most engines these days, it runs very lean, with all the issues that come along with that.

Thanks!
