Gio T2 125cc atv

who here as had & continues to have a great deal of problems with this particular product? Bought this bike for my 10 yr old son for a grading present as he has approximately 1.5 hrs seat time on it since June 2010. I've been chasing parts from Gio.com all summer from coils, stators, rectifiers, carburetors and as of today the bike this doesn't respond as it idles fine but throttle is applied it just stalls itself out especially when someone is riding it. I've messed with the air & idle set screws as on the carburetor & still no luck! Anyone have any suggestions?

sounds like it is running extremely rich, have you made any changes to the needle in the carb ? the needle is the peice that when you unscrew the throttle cable cap and pull the slide out the needle is the big needle coming out the bottem of the slide..

yeah right on! I'm sure the needle has only the one position?

get your engine at running temp.turn your air screw in completely.then turn it out 1 full turn.give it a shot of gas......if it bogs turn the screw out 1/4 turn at the time untill you have no more hesitation.then adjust your idle to desired idle rpm.make sure the carb is tight against the intake manifold.another verify that the tether is well in place.I really dont like the way they fit on some atvs and can play you a trick.on the 110cc the air srews are at about 1 1/4 turn out.I had a few problems with a t1 so I took the time to adjust it right and it runs fine now.hope this helps
