Hawk 250 - How To Remove Plastic Foot Peg Covers
My Hawk 250 came with plastic foot-peg covers installed on the foot pegs which I want to remove asap. I want to remove them because I do not feel that my feet have suitable grip on my pegs with these slick/slippery plastic foot peg covers in place. So I tried tearing them off with a set of pliers but they wont come off.
Does anyone know what it takes to remove these useless plastic foot peg covers from the Hawk 250 foot pegs? They are completely useless in my honest opinion and I seriously do not understand why they are even there in the first place. My foot kept sliding off them on my fist ride and I definitely see that this is a safety hazard that must be removed quick, thanks!! |

Mine came out pretty easy. I used a big screwdriver and just pryed them out.

I removed mine before I even began assembling my Hawk. I think mine were rubber and not plastic.
