The only fuse I recall is within a few inches of the battery. There should be two red wires at the positive terminal and the fuse is likely to be in the smaller gauge wire (15A IIRC).

I originally thought this was a dirt bike ,I have had dozens of Gio products in my shop ,but never a 250 quad ,is that a gy6 engine or a common vertical like the beast ?

fuse
yes just alitle ways from the battery cable for most atvs... look for a white tube like a cigarette,, inside a small glass 10-15 fuse... always check with test light or volt guage... do not be confuse when just looking.... the next thing is check at the igniton switch for power.... should be in & out with key on... supplys power to start/stop switch for power fro the whole atv..

Common vertical CG engine. Mine's the older 200 version.

It's possible a previous owner got rid of the fuse when they didn't have a spare and spliced it out. Yeah I know stupid.. but as Ole Forest Gump says.. stupid is as stupid does .. I guesssss.
If that's the case the what should have blown the fuse probably did some damage to what it was trying to protect. |
