250cc twin "cruisers"

Ummm, not that any man with any pride should ride one, but has anybody here tried one of these Chinese road bikes?

I haven't, but the Kymco Venox 250 (not Chinese, but Taiwanese) looks a heck of a lot cooler to be seen on than most of the other 250 cruisers. If you really want to get exotic, check out the Hyosung 650 cruiser. (It's technically Korean)

Does anybody know where you can purchase these bikes from? And how much they run in price?

Here's a comparison of 250cc cruisers I found via Google. Interesting.

Hope this helps some...

*edit*
I just wanted to add after reading the article again that this was from 2003. May have changed a bit in the last three years.

Hyosung are starting to gain a foothold in North America. They used to be distributed by Alphasports, but are now establishing their own dealer network under their own name. Search under www.cycletrader.com for a dealer, as they are not mail order bikes.

See if this will link you right to it:

Hi
The Lifan LF250 is a great running little crusier...V-Twin does 65+ depending on the persons weight. I sell them for $2399.00 plus Tax & Title with a Free Vega Helmet. MSRP is $2999.00 plus tax, title freight & prep. They are a great little copy of the Yamaha Route66 or now the Virago 250.

We just got one in this past week. The Lifan 250cc Cruiser that is.
It's a nice looking, riding and sounding bike. Good for a shorter person or a chick.
