Obviously you are young and refuse to listen to your elders. it's obvious that PRICE is the number 1 factor.

always good to discuss different ideas/aspects of the bike. Honestly, this was a great opportunity for me to learn more about carbs without being scared of them. while I've tinkered a lot with bikes over 35 years, I've always avoided carbs because of the voo-doo involved. After working on the hawk and the 125 I have, I'm not nearly so concerned.

two thumbs up!

Great job and I agree on #1, It never crossed my mind in my entire life to have someone else service my bike and to avoid messing with things that would void warranty. Where I grew up it meant that if you had a bike YOU WILL have to work on it and taking it to a dealership was worse that sending it to a bike shop if you had too.$$$$

I want to take it apart and work on it and make it better. That’s just my nature and I’m pretty sure I get it from my dad. I’m torn because I have a 2 year Warrenty but with how much it cost for each service I’ll end up buying the bike again. I got a lot of things I want to try I’ve seen here.

Not to say all of the China bikes are quality, some are less than perfect but most of the time you know that when you get into that particular bike if you have done research. My brother wants a Taotao hellcat and expects to work on it and make it strong always comes back to the second half of my #1, great communities to chat with

Lol bah! I’m 44 I’m the elder now! My first carb was my ruckus and that was a blast. After a few mods I’ll play with re jetting wish I did bikes for years, I’ve always rebuilt motors (mostly 4 cyl)
