Have been trying to find this out as well. I have tried the above, but no dice. Some have said the Hellcat will not switch over to MPH from KMH, but I have seen several online pics of Hellcats that do read in MPH. Anyone that has actually got it to work on a Hellcat??

prob have to buy new cluster. this is usually common early bird shipments on new bikes and atv's. this run of hellcats must be new allotment for the dealers and they ordered wrong ones, and prob whole allotment is this way....once you get the mph one it will most likely read 6mph faster than gps mph

I believe federal law for DOT/EPA certified bikes, they MUST be in MPH. I doubt you guys will get recourse, as opposed to paying out of pocket, but perhaps putting some pressure on the dealer might help.

It seems to be a problem in the 2018’s. I am going to ask the dealer about it (familygokarts) as if they are selling To US customers, it seems it should have the option to register in MPH. On the start up sequence it will show a MPH on the cluster (along with everything else) but after the sequence it goes to the KPH setting and cannot be switched that I can tell.

Hey guys, new guy here.

I also just picked up a Hellcat two weeks ago myself, and with the same issue. My speedometer lights up and right to KPH. Tried everything to get it to mph. Basically we have to replace with these with a better speedometer?

Not a very beautiful solution, but I would just use one of my old cell phones (no sim) and load a speedo app on it. They are plentiful in the app store and way way more accurate than any china bike or Japanese bike speedo. Get a mount off of ebay and your golden.

My 2018 Gen2 Vader does read in MPH and not KPH, but that said according to my cellphone app and also running it alongside other vehicles and comparing MPH readings, it is laughably inaccurate.Still ,if you run it alongside someone and find out what your 3 most common legal speed limits are on your speedo and memorize what that shows as on your bike, that will almost always get you by, it ain't like your in serious danger of breaking any speed limits if you find out what 25,35, 45 are .
