My new scooter: Amigo JAX-50 50cc Gas Scooter Moped




I did a light test so far, only on dirt road. Goes up to 30 mph. (Maybe it gets better, maybe it'll be faster on asphalt road, I don't know yet. It's pretty nice and cool, the only issue is, 1 of the blinker is not working well, and the blinkers are in a plastic case. That's not too great, as they are sticking out. Just wondering if they'll break off later. Hopefully not. But other than that, I like the moped.)

Amigo website presently only shows the JAX 150 with 13" wheels and GY6-B engine.

Even worse, the Amigo company accidentally sent me a 150 at first, so the 8 days delivery became a 45 days delivery, as they had to pick up the 150, take back, and send the 50 one. Fortunately the problem got solved, but it took a looong time.

I cannot even find a video of the JAX-50 anywhere, so I guess mine is the first one on Youtube. Hopefully it helps future buyers.

Worse? I call that a blessing!! I recall reading through a few forums (not on Chinariders) and people wondering what 150cc scooter to buy that they could fake it being a 50cc. Chinese brands of scooters are good for that!

If cops stop a person with a motorcycle disguised as a 50cc moped, the fines would be really bad. It would be riding without a license and riding without insurance.

So, I had to wait like 2 weeks for the company to pick it up, I barely slept, because I was worry that someone might want to steal it. 1 pickup truck even stopped in front of our house, check out the box...

I was expecting the moped arrive in the middle of July, yet, It's the end of August, so the nice riding weather is gone, pretty soon here, up north. But well, that's how it is.

Just received the Title today, I can take care of the registration this week.
