Pumper Carb and a Comically long throttle cable

So I was installing my quick turn throttle and pumper carb and the split cable provided is like 10" longer than it needs to be. I figured, no prob...I'll order a shorter one. Except I can't find one anywhere.

So, the question now it - what did you all do with the extra 10" of cable?

I haven't done it myself, but I believe the answer to be cut the cable and solder the stop on at a shorter length.

I have my quick turn throttle "upside down" with the end the cable connects on top. This allowed me to loop it down and across behind the cluster and back to the right side of the bike. This is actually beneficial. The long sweeping curve really helps prevent binding and wear issues.

So, did re-routing it as suggested help, or did you end up stretching the bike?

I had the same issue. I bought the parts separately and they sent a cable that was stupid long. I ended up finding one that was a little shorter and still had to do some creative routing.

The bike stretcher is hidden next to King Robert's breastplate stretcher.

So, after putting stuff back in place and staring at it and moving my bars lock to lock....I don't like it. it's functional but I don't like it.

So, I ordered a back up cable from Amazon for $9 and I'm gonna try cutting this one down. I don't mind it being a bit longer than stock as I'm going to add bar risers when my fat bars show up but still.
