Covered Bridges

Post pictures of your ChinaBike at covered Bridges. I know some other members have posted such pictures and I've suggested this very thread. I have a couple of bridges close to me. Let's get em together! Here is a picture I got today.

not chinese, but many years ago I organized a trip for a bunch of friends where we toured western VA and southern WV. We hit about a dozen different covered bridges. We had an enjoyable time!

I have 2 each within about a 1/2 hour ride from me. The one pictured above is just out in the country. The other is in a state park, is popular, and there isn't much space for a photo-op......but I'll get the shot one of these days.

Oh, this will be a challenge. I'm keeping it in mind as summer ends and riding season begins.

These are pictures of My Hawk before I spruced it up, My TBR7D that I sold nearly a year ago, and my KPX.http://
I cross a covered bridge towards the end of this video of the KPX. I just posted a video yesterday that I crossed the covered bridge in, but it's with my Kawasaki.

Well, I took the hawk on a 100-mile ride into Pennsyltucky today. I had two covered bridges on my navigation. Made it to the first one, after a brief stop in a nice shady spot where all you can hear is the creek and the wind and birds. no houses anywhere near, no roads, no traffic. I got to the first bridge but there was a house right there and I felt weird getting pictures too close to someone's place. As I was leaving an old man appeared on the porch and yelled down to me that he could take my picture for me on the bike near the bridge. I declined because he could be a serial killer, this is bum f**k Egypt. Anyway, there was another bridge not far away but as I got closer realized the road is closed so I just headed back. Here are the pictures of the cool little shaded pull of spot and the covered bridge.

Live in eastern Pa and we are blessed with a few remaining covered bridges. Photo in the post, can't figure how to attach files correctly. But look.

I need to do some research. I am sure that there are more than 2 in my area, just need to find out where.

I did a search when you posted this thread. I found a covered bridge which is actually in the town just south of me. I never knew it was there. I'll get down there sometime soon for a pic.

I've noticed that when I pass from West Virginia into Pennsylvania all of a sudden, the roads are nicer, the road signs are nicer, the cars and houses are nicer. I love my state, but it's pretty clear which of the two has the most money.

With the destruction of American energy sources, WV took a big hit. Plan to on doing a ride through VW on my bike, loved the scenery from a car window so must be better with no windows.

Load up google maps and type "covered bridges near me." You will be presented with icons on the map for every covered bridge in that area.
