since I suggested this...I'll introduce
My dad never got me into bikes...I just took it up during university and now I can honestly say that anything with a motor and two wheels is a blast for me. Even my kids' Z50 brings me smiles. I've had a couple of Honda dualsports, a big Kawasaki thumper (KLR650), and a couple of street bikes.
I've dabbled with cars (I founded a sports car club in my city) but I always feel like the dirt bikes offered me more fun. Plus I always seemed to have a more mechanical knack with bikes. So when the chance came to grab a couple of 150cc bikes for my wife and I and not break the bank I took it. My plans are to put the bikes together and go for a boot this weekend. I'm hoping to document my experience with these bikes, probably on a Flickr blog. I also have a Garmin GPS receiver so I'm eventually going to strap this to my bike and keep track of the sites we visit. It's great that this site popped up. Feel like I'm on the ground floor with these things. There are a LOT of people around here that are interested in how well these bikes hold up. So we shall see... Cheers, Rian |

Thanks - this has quickly become one of my favourite forums. People are honest and the posts are quite on-topic and high-brow but still all in good fun...it's actually pretty similar to the NAXJA Jeep Cherokee forum. These are rarities on the 'Net! I hope we can keep it that way.
And I'll add a little more. As you can see in the location line, I reside in Saskatchewan - home of the rugged :P I'm in my early 30s and I'm a dad too. I'm a dabbler so I have tonnes of interests. Right now I'm playing Ultimate Frisbee in the city, weightlift 3-4 times a week, going camping/fishing, and I'm attempting to build a tri-wheel recumbent before the end of the summer (but, admittedly, the dirtbikes have been a nice distraction!). By the fall interests will switch to martial arts, work (oh yeah I gotta work), and possibly deer hunting... Thanks, R.
