Help please 2005 terminator 150gy ?

Hey i dont know if anyone is gonna see this but im picking up a 2005 terminator 150gy today. trading a guy a 91 polaris snowmobile for it.

I need to find a throttle cable and side covers for it. And if anyone has any pics id love to see them. Im planning on fixing this bike up for a daily rider. This would be my 2nd bike. I know how to work on cycles. Re built a dt100 3 yrs ago. Found it burried in sand and frozen into the ground. Did a lotta work on it and it ran like a champ.

So if anyone could help me find parts or info on it id love the help!

The throttle cable will be pretty easy. The sidecovers may be alittle more difficult to find.

Generic chinese that powered by Honda clone are based from one of these: Jialing (Honda XL125S)/ Zongshen
 Fleabay is the best source for parts.

The chinese: http://jlyymt.taobao.com/search.htm?...rice1=&price2= *CQR = CRF230 knockoff

Chances are really good. Fresh oil, plug and fuel, and I bet you have a winner. If you can resurrect a bike that was buried in sand, you've got skills. 8)

Lmao Thanks weldngrind! It was really fun to Bring the dead back to life! I had a lot of fun working on that one. Just wish i could have bought new decals on it. Found out how much fun spraying rustoleum really is. I think i had 2 coats of primer and 6 coats of the thinned out rustoliem. Color was a really close match. And boy did she sparkel! You could see your self in it.

Just found out that the kid had to "drill out" the throttle grip to get the cable out....... Dont ask i dont know......

So i need to find one of those. Any help ?

eBay. Keep your searches generic, like "dirt bike throttle", and you should find a match.

Ok....... Guess i shouldn't be shocked . But i was :(

Poor bike didn't deserve the kid. It needs quite a bit of work. Ill list what i found.....

First off the bike came to me laying on its side. Not cool

2nd There was a bucket handed to me..... Had some bolts and the carb. ( how long was that off the bike?

3rd the throttle grip is missing the part that holds it on the bike.

4th ALL lamps are missing the covers

5th NO KEY

6th muffler looks modified.

7th Was stuck in 2nd gear ( now freed)

8th clutch cable is WAY streched. It needed to be twisted all the way out to be useable.

9th All the switches have been busted. still work but they look crappy.

Last air filter boot is missing.....

WTF kid you didnt say all this was wrong! I gave him a running sled and a sled that needed work..... guess who got the better deal ?

Now I didnt know how long it sat outside with the carb off so i dumped a lil mixed gas in the carb intake area. And slid the carb on. Gave it a few kicks and it sputterd a little bit. ( phew! least it will run !) checked oil and its in there. good on that one.... Front breaks work to.

Now im going to start by ordering a new throttle grip set with new cables. Both the throttle and clutch.

Can i put a K&n type filter on the carb ?

Tell me what to watch out for or any advise please! Im sure ill have many questions in the future!!

Hang in there. Here's my favourite filter for a 200-250cc bike: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/42mm-Air-Filt...item4ab686abc4
