Dirt tires and wheels for TBR7
Two tire questions:
1. Where do I find the right size dirt tires for a TBR7 90/90-19 and 110/90-17? 2. Can hawk wheels fit which are larger on TBR7? |

The hawk wheel works great on my TBR7. My stock speedo was always waaay off but the larger rim completely corrected the issue. I believe the factory just throws the hawk speedo gears on everything regardless of how it will work.
The larger front wheel allows me to stick to steep walled ravines or washes far better than the stock wheel. On the road it works just fine allowing for a slightly more comfortable seating position but the knobbys sure sing to me on the highways. 70mph is almost deafening. |

When I was trying to get a 21" front for my tbr7 all the hawk rims were out of stock everywhere. So I bought a roketa front rim from rocketaparts. It was less than the hawk and I had it in 4 days. There are some minor differences, they are gloss black instead of flat black and the hubs are grey instead of black. I put taped the spokes and painted the rim flat black. Looks good.
I also added a digital dash for a hawk at the same time so it wasn't affected. I'm currently running a dunlop d606 front and a bridge stone trail wing tw302 4.60x17 on the rear. The d606 130/90-17 rear looked awesome but was hitting the air box on hard jumps. The trail wing is perfect and seems to stick pretty good in the dirt. As a side note, the bike will feel instantly more stable on the road at any speed over 30mph with the larger front rim. It adds over a degree of rake and adds to the gyroscope effect. I feel way more comfortable on the open road. And it rides smoother over bumps on the trail. Win/win.
