The work begins on the Lifan G20-2
So after putting about 200+ miles on my new Lifan this weekend I realized a few things. For starters street tires will need to be bought and installed. Second I need a brighter bulb for my headlight. My brake light went out yesterday at somepoint. I have no idea when. That will also need replacing. The bike will also be getting painted at some point over the next few weeks. it will be Flat Olive green. With a few black logos on it. Will post pictures of progress. Third I notice one of the bolts holding my exhaust to the engine has snapped off. Any ideas on that one would be much appreciated. Its not making it loud or anything at the moment. It just smells rich.

I reccomend a replacement 1157 LED taillight bulb. These little bikes vibrate a lot and it will last longer.
You may be able to remove the broken exhaust bolt easily enough. Carefully remove the other bolt and header. Use some penetrating oil and maybe some heat and remove the remaining stud with a strong good vise grip type pliers. Use high quality replacement bolts and maybe some anti-sieze. What's wrong with the 50/50 tires? I have found those to be pretty good in the past. Nice bike BTW.

The problem is that the bolt did a clean snap.

Take a pic. Looks like you'll be needing an Easy Out...

I just put on a pair of shinko 705 tires, they are 80/20 tires and I am very satisfied with them very smooth on the street and great price. Check out my thread here:http://www.chinariders.net/modules.p...wtopic&t=14119

Ran into a new problem today. The site glass for the front brake fluid res. Has completely deteriorated. I put some glue on the front of it to seal it for the mean time. If anybody knows where to get a new one for a decent price please let me know. I looked on ebay. But couldnt seem to find the right one.

There appears to be a man's face stuck in the reservoir. Perhaps you should remove him first.
