New Tbr7
Hey my name is Payne, I just bought a new Tbr7. My big question is I'm a little shorter, so how can I lower the bike down?
I know you can take out spacers in the front forks and lower the rear adjustable suspension, just wondering how to do so? Also are there any seats that I can buy to put in, or is cutting the foam the only way to go? Thanks ahead of time! And thanks for everything that's been posted! Super helpful! |

Welcome!
The easiest way to lower the front is to simply loosen the triple clamps and slide the forks up a bit. There is a more complex way to shorten the forks if that's your preference, but the method will depend upon whether the forks are conventional or inverted. The rear can be a little tricky, depending on the setup. If a link is used with the rear shock, creating a new link that is longer or shorter can raise or lower the bike, but that requires a little fabrication ability. It's also possible to simply install a shorter shock, but finding one that doesn't have an excessive spring rate might take some trial and error. How much are you looking to lower the bike?

Payne - The TBR 7 has seat height of 34 inches and there others bikes like it. I'm looking to purchase a bike too but I'm 5'5" so I'll be faced with a similar dilemna. I'd like to know eventually how you solved your height issue.

Greetings!
Welcome to the forum!
I’m not sure if it will fit, but CSC sells a seat for the TT250 that lowers the seat height by 2 inches. The TT250 seat fits the Hawk 250. Enjoy the Ride!

White, and I did the "fully assembled" option from Tx powersports... I still plan to go through everything. I already bought a new carburetor, main/pilot jets, sparkplug, and oil, that'll I'll replace before I start the bike
