Pre ride inspection check
Hey guys, does everyone check your bike over before you ride? I don’t always give my bike a full once over. Here’s a good reason for me to start!
Luckily the nail was bent and went in sideways.

Well, I do check for stuff like chain slack, chain C-clip being still on, brake lines, cables, bearing seals and the such, as well as disk brake locks (don't ask me why... )
I occasionally do spot and remove a bit of gravel from between the tire treads (using street/cruiser tires on my '07 Zong....), but nothing that major Guess I'll check more often now... |

I always do a pre-ride inspection. I ignored a slightly lose chain once and ended up throwing the chain later in the day.

The chain is always loose on my Brozz! Perhaps an upgrade is in order for the next bike.

Yep, I always give my bike a once over for loose things, leaks, etc, and then check function of lights and controls. Since I tend to warm up my bikes, I do it then.

It should be unless you enjoy adjusting the chain after every ride.. my stocker was stretching constantly until i replaced it with the Niche X-Ring and now it stays put at whatever it was last tensioned at.

If I'm just riding around the neighborhood I just look it over. If I'm going more than a mile from the house I check tire pressure.
But the one thing I always check before I ride anywhere is that I have my phone... you just never know. Lol

It has always been drilled into me since I was a child to inspect any equipment that I use. Usually with bikes and ATV's I always inspect just because I've been stranded before haha.

Check the swing arm axle bolt. I noticed that mine had some threads showing. I thought the nut was backing out. Nope! The hex head of the shaft had snapped off and the bolt was walking out on the nut side. I was lucky I noticed during a pre ride inspection.
