Thumbs Up Paisleyrider's RX3

This thread is where I'll be sharing stories about my RX3: modifications, adventures, etc.; everything will linked from here. Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer.

Without further ado, check out the current state of my beastlet; you can see the upgraded headlight, removed front plastics, and one Doubletake mirror, as well as the tinted windscreen and accessory lights.

It's a big image, but she's worth it

Check out the X-Grip I rigged up:

I Sugru'd a 1" Ram ball to the metal bracket in front of the dash cluster (see link) and added a 6" arm with Pinlock and a Phablet X Grip. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/1616980...lpid=82&chn=ps
Works like a charm, feels very secure even at highway speed.
Also you can see the USB dash cluster and some Tusk bar risers which will hopefully give me enough room for a D Flex handguard install.

Other mods to come are a rear dashcam (I've got a really sweet setup planned, but have yet to implement it), handguards, Shad SH40 top box, extra rear lights, windscreen addon, and more.
And come August, I'll finally have time to ride the damn thing! So expect to see mostly garage pics until then.

Thanks for starting this interesting thread; I am subscribed.

I honestly think that LED headlight is dead sexy. How is it working with your auxiliary lighting?

It still hasn't seen the light of day since I received it so I am not yet sure. I will post images when I can! You were right that the light seems very centrally focused; I am looking forward to comparing it's performance to the standard headlight when I get some time to take it out for a ride.

Thanks for a great transaction, Spud; I had no doubt you would come through

I'm glad the LED headlight found a good home. With the right auxiliary lighting, I think this headlight might work very well. We eagerly await your updates.

I like the tinted windscreen and the X-grip. Interesting mods.

That's a good idea. I'll have to get into my RAM scrounge box.
