Bought a "new" car
Well, my boss' son called me about 2 weeks ago, and said his car was overheating. He wasked me what to do. I told him to check the coolant, water pump to see if it's leaking and to make sure the belt is turning it and then to pop the thermostat out and drive it home.
Well, he parked it and sold it to me for $200. He owed me $100 already, so I bought it for $100. I rented a Uhaul car trailer and went down with my pickup to bring it home. I got it off the trailer, and took the trailer back. When I got home I thought Ok, let's see what is wrong with you. As soon as I started it, the gauge pegged HOT! No change on god's green ewarth would it heat up in 3 seconds, so I started checking things out. The temperature sender was shot! The motor ran without a hitch. It needs a few things, like an alignment, 4 tires, a signal light flasher, and a driver side door handle, but it's SOLID. What is it you ask? How about a 1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra, LOADED!! Black paint, tan leather interior, 3800 series 2 SUPERCHARGED V6. It's already got new control arms, tie rods, and all that stuff, a new water pump, battery, and a couple hundred in new exhaust, so I pretty much STOLE it for $100. I'll have to get some pictures up later on, but this car is pretty peppy. We were rolling along at 20 km/h and I could break the tires loose by flooring it in drive. It's NUTS! it'll 0 - 60 in like 6.5 seconds too.

What a bargain on a sleeper. You can change the supercharger pulley and get some more boost. Larger injectors and probably get up near 300hp quickly.

Good score! How's the body, knowing it's a Halifax car?

The car has a nice free flowing cross pipe, cat and mufflers on it already, so now I need to get more air into it. I will be looking at 60 pound per hour injectors and a PCM reflash should I keep it long enough. All those mods will put me into the 340 flywheel horsepower range and it will hold together and be reliable for miles to come. Best part is, apparently it weighs like 300 pounds LESS than my pontiac Grand Am, and it has over 100 more horsepower already.

I don't know about weighing less, but it sounds like you already have some mods planned.
Also where are the pics. :?:

Nice. I had a '98 Grand Prix GTP with that supercharged 3800 engine. Awesome power, but still front wheel drive. I had Borla exhaust which sounded really good. It was fun, but I was glad to get rid of it. I replaced it with my current car, a 2005 Mazda3 and never looked back.
It had high miles, the supercharger burned through oil, and the car was pretty heavy. I struggled to get 18 or 19 mpg. I sold it for $3800, and the guy that bought it blew up the supercharger on his way home.

I'm trying to remember who it was, or if it was on this forum someone put one of these supercharged engines in a Fiero! 8O

According to General Motors:
A 1998 Buick Park Avenue Ultra is 3740 pounds, where a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am is 3995 pounds My Buick is stock 240 horsepower, but it has slightly larger injectors, a mild PCM flash and a NICE magnaflow exhaust system on it which supposedly takes it to 260 horsepower. My Grand Am is 140 horsepower and it's GUTLESS. Traction seems to be my issue here now, Even with the way it is not it just wants to light up every time I juice it below 20 km/h. I don't want to spoil the "release" of my car right now, but it will be operational in a couple weeks and I will shoot some videos.

We eagerly await the offical "release" of your videos. However, can't we even get a "preview" teaser? 8)
