big vibrations around 5k rpm

After I got on my bike yesterday my hands hurt because of the vibrations. Does anyone have any solutions?

- Don't grip the bars so tight.
- Wear padded gloves.
- If your handlebar is a hollow tube rather than the bolt-on style, I've heard that filling the bar with buckshot or ball bearings can help dampen vibrations.

Another solution can be gel grips. They are available from many aftermarket venders. I've had great luck with ProGrips 757s.
