That is confusing to watch. His terminology is off. There should be something attaching the clutch lever shaft to the clutch outer pressure plate. When the lever on the handle bar is pulled in, the cable should pull the lever on the cover. The shaft attached to the lever should rotate, and pull the outer pressure plate away from the clutch plate stack, allowing for gear changes or idling at a stop while in gear.
Most bikes have a rod that pushes from the left engine side cover. I've never worked on a bike with the clutch actuator on the same side as the clutch. |

There maybe a missing part in there. That's all I can think of.

Sorted
Ok so ive found the problem, ive got spare 3 spare clutches all 70t ,for 200cc -250cc i was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why no clutch actuation,
All 3 clutches look identical till i measured them up, They were all different sizes only by 2-3mm but the inner baskets were slightly different aswell all aiding to pressure plate not out far enough So even tho these parts are generic some don't actually fit, i could fit the larger basket with 7 plates but then have to use smaller but longer oil slinger |
