Help with Torque via new sprockets

Original gearing on the Tao Tao Raptor is 15 teeth up front and 38 teeth in the rear. I've found on that I can get a 14 tooth up front and a 41 tooth for the rear.

Those of you who have changed your sprockets (a lot of Rhino owners have, I know) do you think this upgrade is worth it to be able to have more hauling torque even though this motor is a GY6?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

I've done some math: 15/38 =2.53. 41/14=2.93.

2.53-2.93= -0.4. Divide that by the original ratio: -0.4/2.53 =0.15810. Multiply by 100 for percent and I get -15.87 percent reduction in top speed so if it was 35, I'll now have a top speed of 30 and (this is the part I'm unsure of) I will gain 15 percent more torque.

Thanks buzz, do you think it will matter that this is a gy6 motor--that is, will I still need to mess around with variator weights and the clutch springs too?
