Any Info? - 2010/2011 Z STAR - 110cc

I just got this Z STAR atv from a buddy, 50 bucks.

I have been trying for a couple days to track down anything I can on it, but coming up empty.

As you can see in the pictures, it has no battery or fuel tank, so I want to make sure I buy the right parts for it.

Could anybody point me in the right direction for some technical info on this atv or one similar to it?

Here is a few photos and all other info I have on it:

-both the engine and serial plate say 107cc
-serial plate under VIN says it is 2011, serial plate on rear says it is 2010
-ENG MODEL # 7YGGX.12JAM3

As with just about every china bike ,you probably won't find anything specific to your model ,but if you search 110 atv you will be able to find lots of general things about your bike .From there you need to figure out what applies Ito your bike and go from there .

Yep appears to be a standard Honda clone 110cc horizontal engine fully automatic transmission with starter on top. Sometimes referred to as a monkey engine.

parts

Hello... for the fuel tank there are several that may work.. as you se I was a dealer for ZSTAR.. the tanks are different for the body style.. do you have a body for it... the size of the motor is noted on the black part of the motor.. 48 ml for a 50 cc 78 cc for a 90 cc.. etc.. the motor size not too important as most parts will fit... this is a new motor due to the top mount starter... older ones where bottom mount.. check in as to what else you need.. thanks

Thanks for the info! It helped me make some good progress

I'm trying to get the wiring back up to snuff right now and I have managed to get enough from google search to get everything hooked up correctly, except some uncertainty with the kill switch and some wires coming from the push start unit that I'm not 100% what they operate/are for(it's push start with no key).

FLASHLIGHTBOY, I have a couple unknowns that I would love if you could clarify for me, since you're familiar with the ZSTAR's.

What are the orange, red/white, yellow/red, green/white wires for? (I'm assuming red is power+)

Are these wires coming from the throttle for the kill switch circuit, or something else?

The spark plug that came with it is an NGK C7HSA, is that the right one for it?

BTW, the serial stamped on the engine is: TZH152FMH 10101839

I think I figured out a couple of them.

The red/white wire is power to the starter button. When pressed, it completes the control circuit to the solenoid, out through the orange wire, which activates the solenoid, which spins the starter.

The 3 wires going to the ignition/kill switch (yellow/red, green/white, red - in previous post photo) have got me stumped.

I'm not sure what these 3 wires should be connected to, could anybody explain this to me?

Could anyone verify that replacing the original ignition/kill switch with this inline switch setup would work for me?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

This is how I have it wired now:

I'm not sure if I should do anything with the CDI kill switch wire.

I don't know if the switch I have in between the coil and CDI will function properly as a kill switch.

Thanks

I haven't actually run the bike yet, so I don't know if the ignition switch will actually kill it or not. According to my Ohms testing, it should.

I have very little experience with this though, so I'm taking it slowly.

I tried it with the wiring setup I posted and it cranked the starter, but almost instantly blew the 15A fuse closest to the 4-Pole Terminal.

Any ideas?

Found out that the starter motor circuit needs a 40A fuse, because the starter on these ATVs typically draw 35A. So that works fine now after testing.

Put some fuel in the tank and it leaked out 4 different spots on the carb. Going to order a new carb and hope that it's the last problem with the ATV lol.
