LAKE POMME DE TERRE, MISSOURI
Just finished a 190 mi round trip on my Roketa 250cc scooter.
Went to my lake place to check it. 65+ mph when needed. I just ran it flat out on the straights for 40 miles. Pulled the back hills in an acceptable way. No problem with the auto tranny. I got brave after driving it to work. I love this scooter. It is NOT my GL 1500, but was more than adequate for the ride. Was very stable around the semi's. Next time I will take the WING however. Well there will be 2 of us then also. BIG difference. My "GEEK" JET CHINESE helmet works well with the short windshield. Feels kinda heavy off the bat but it works well. The eye coverage is wonderful. NO lift from wind bursts with the shield down. EZ on EZ off. Lake Pomme De Terre is a forgotten place. I love it there. Back to the future. http://www.lasr.net/pages/lake.php?Lake_ID=MO05lk001 |

Been there quite a few times camping. 8) I love to go mountain biking there. The shore line is amazing.

My wife and I had a summer place down there for quite a few years.

The Roketa rocks, but a Wing is a Wing. Now I got to change the fluids. :( |
