Who has THE most beautiful SuperMoto Zong?
FastDoc does
Thanks to DesertRider. I bought his Zong last night and is she a beauty! DR does some very professional work, and I am the happy beneficiary. He needed to sell, and I was happy to get such a nice machine. So much better than new. 950 street miles, no dirt, no rain. As clean as it was the day it left the factory. He professionally repainted it KTM Orange, and the paint job is outstanding. He clipped at least 25 pounds off the bike. Excess bodywork was trimmed, passenger footpegs off, LED lights all around, bobbed the rear fender and license plate bracket, etc. FMF pipe and jet kit . She's a runner. If the speedo is accurate she'll go 75 MPH and very easily cruise 65. Cold ride this morning! Good on road gearing for the state of tune. I'll post pics soon. I need help getting the tail light to work. The brake light works but not the tail light. It's an LED unit. Thanks DR!

I don't know what could be wrong with your DRC Edge 2 tail light. If the 3 wires are correctly connected, the unit should work properly; I have not had any problems with mine. :?: Spud

I think it might be the wiring on the bike's side. I pulled the 3 pin connector going to the light, and none of the wires were hot when the switch was on. I figure one should be ground, one hot with key, one hot with brake switch activation. So I cheated and installed a 6 LED light below the plate and wired it to something that went on with the key. It looks good. MAYBE what I'll do next it try to wire the running light lead from the brake light to the same hot lead and see what I get.
I like this little bike, but I realy need to sort out the light thing before I ride it at night. The way it is now I have no license plate light. Probably no big deal, but...

Your logic sounds good to me, Doc. You will find a wiring diagram of the Zong's electrical system in your 200GY-2 Motorcycle Maintenance Manual.

Spud could help you out here beter than I, but on my China bike, the tail light only is on when the engine is running. It does not run off the battery.
My bike is not a Zong though. |
