A Big Development!

Fellow forum members! I have great news that I would like to share with everyone: After roughly 7 years or so of thinking that Mrs. Emerikol and I couldn't have kids, we have found out this morning that the Missus is pregnant! This is a really big deal for us, and to say that we're incredibly happy would be something of an understatement! The missus is equally furious and ecstatic. Furious that she purchased a new motorcycle (all by herself, and in her name, mind you) that she now can't ride, as well as no more coffee/caffeine or seafood or alcohol. Ecstatic because just about the time we finished telling everybody that kids aren't in the cards for us and that we really are fine with it, BAM! She's pregnant! Isn't life crazy? A big development, indeed! I hope that everyone has an outstanding night!

That's perfect, because we have a big yard! When can they be trusted to change the oil and lube the chain on motorcycles? An extra pair of hands in the shop is going to be a big help!

Congratulations!!

That is great news. My wife and I had the same thing happen to us. 5 years of trying and the whamo! We were blessed with our son.

I have some suggestions on names in true chinariders fashion:

1) Ricky
2) Haosen
3) Mikuni
4) Hawk
5) CC

Show 'em it's fun and not a chore. Then kick back and relax. In other words, con 'em. You have quite a way to go though.

Congrats!!! I know exactly what you have been through. We were married 9 years when we lost our 1st child at birth. After trying again the doctor told my wife she couldn't have children. 2 years later I come home one day and my wife told me she was pregnant. I'm like yeah right. Our daughter is a miracle baby. We came close to losing her too. the umbilical cord had wrapped around her neck and heart had stopped beating. The dr. had got her out just in time to revive her. So needless to say what ever my baby girl wants, baby girl gets. lol She make 16 this weekend. We are going to throw her a big surprise party on Saturday. Daddy got some farkles for her UTV.

I wish you guys all the luck and prayers for a heathy baby.

Man I'm late to the thread But WOOOOOOOOT!!!! CONGRATULATIONS to you and the Missus!!!! I hope and pray everything goes well and a healthy bundle of joy arrives without a hitch! My two young ones can drive the Pope to drinking. But it is a love and experience like nothing else on this earth and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

As far as the China riders names, I LIKE IT, HAWK HAOSEN is a BAD A@$ superstar name for a boy.

It's easier to just tell them they're not allowed to and walk away.

Congrats!

And that thing about not quite riding the bike is not quite true. Right after we went to a doctor to confirm my wife's second pregnancy (or was it the first one?) we drove straight to the "riding school" so that she could do the course and get her license before her belly grew up too much
