New 150cc Stunt Bike complete under $2500 - RPS Condor Grom Competitior

First bike, first post. I saw this bike on the Youtubes and had to have one. I scoured eBay and Amazon for the parts. Found most of the stunt gear used. Things like a CBR1000RR caliper for $17 shipped and other deals. In the end, I'm at the tuning stage of this stunt build. I think I have under 15 miles on the bike, but that won't be that low for long with the weather we've been having.

Anyway, for your perusal, comment and query, I present my first stunt bike:

Congratulations on your build! Good luck with the tune, don't worry about getting it perfect, just get it right for your kind of riding.

If I didn't buy some of the items I could have been done for under $2400. Here's my build list:

A couple more pics. I'll probably tear off all the vinyl and stickers some hot day this summer.

Thanks, the list helped me find a cheaper carburetor,
I was going to go with the Nibbi 26mm, but it had clearance issues with the idle screw, and cost a lot more, just for the carb and jet kit. This one has filters, gaskets, and fuel hose.

Do the Honda CBR1000R brakepads fit the stock calipers?

How is the exhaust compared to stock in terms of volume?

On the carburetor, I think the most important is to not have any airleaks including around the cable entry.

Yes. The brake pads fit. You can get any of the TOKICO Calipers found on many sport bikes. The condor had a little bigger disk, so I put a couple of bolts to shim its location. In fact, you install these things so they can wiggle and jingle a little.

Last regarding exhaust: It sounds good, but a little loud. I think you can buy a more restrictive muffler to get a quieter bike, but I just grabbed the cheapest slip-on that seemed the right size.

The slipon arrived, and I'll probably stuff it with fiberglass and a baffle if it fits. Should take care of the high frequencies. The eBay exhaust, I got the last one...

My 4 valve CG250 engine is in customs. At least the container didn't fall off the ship!

Update: My 4V engine never cleared customs. Alibaba offered to return the purchase price to cancel the sale. I'm out about $170 on the deal and undecided whether to go have amex charge back. It will probably cost my alibaba account if I do it so we'll see...

In the meantime, I ordered a ZS172FMM-3A from amazon for $579 minus $100 CC signup bonus for the prime card. It is waiting for install and I'm hoping to document the process sometime this winter. I do love beating the Condor around as is anyway!
