what is this?

My grand daughter bought a 2004 dirt bike and wants me to help her get it running again. All I can say is it says ATI Xtreme, CDI motor, ATI 200gy. Any info or help on what bike this is would be appreciated. I cant seem to come up with anything in my searches. Are parts available? Thanks in advance.

a Picture would speak 1000 words here, but I doubt it's a Yamaha. That would be pretty clear and easy to tell. I'm not a Yamaha expert but those don't sound like any Yamaha model numbers or terms I've seen.

A quick look seems like it could be a Lifan? Are you sure it's a 2004?

Yes, title states it as well as a stamp all saying 2004. I also figured out how to put a few photos up.

Pics of the other side of the engine would be better... it looks like an OHC CB copy, but I'm not 100% sure. It looks like it's basically a Lifan GY2 or similar. It depends on what parts you're trying to get. Plastics might be able to be found, but it would take a lot of dredging to find them. It would be pretty easy to get engine parts, a carb, or a CDI though, as needed.

Ya I'm not very well versed in older china bikes tbh but a quick search did seem to point towards Lifan - it looks to be in decent shape especially for being a 2004.

Looks like it could possibly be a 2004 Pantera or one of the siblings of the series.

The Pantera was my first bike and a great bike, I wish I still had it.

Looks like a run of the mill "GY200" from the 2000's that a million importer/resellers slapped their names on.

Definitely not a pantera, I had 2, both just like your photo idle_purr, mine were 125cc.

The bike has no ignition coil. I need to order an ignition coil for it. Without a brand how do I order one? Will any coil that says it is for a 200gy work? Any parts site recommended? Thanks for the help.

Any GY200 coil should work fine. eBay, AliExpress or Taobao have tons of Chinese Bike (CB) parts. 90% of the parts on CBs are interchangeable so don't get hung up with make and model. Another option is to order the ignition coil from CSC motorcycles in California. The TT250 coil should work fine in your motorcycle as well and get there a lot quicker. CSC might be a couple bucks more but they are super easy to deal with and helpful.

I found someone interested in the same bike back in 04'. They never mentioned model though. Its the engine cover that is throwing my off. Its the only one I have seen like this.

It's you basic, old world, GY Chinese dual sport. They came imported under many different names and as previously mentioned, yours is OHC instead of OHV.

Zillions of parts available on Ebay and Amazon.

Personally, it looks like a generic 'Honda' cover without the Honda part cast into it, but as I'm not as familiar with the Yamaha engines, and they look similar, that's why I suggested the left side photo of the engine.
