Anybody been able to get any real MPG numbers on this bike yet??.

I have a regular hawk and see about 61-62 with my MPG app. That is still good as about 1/2 the time I have the throttle pinned to keep up with crazy Dallas traffic.

You're braver than me... I'm not sure I'd ever want to ride a motorcycle in Dallas. It's literally the worst traffic I've ever seen.

This ↑↑

60 mpg is my average with my motorcycle, i think that 80 mpg is a bit optimistic.

Ha, well you must not have been there at the right time then. You've got people operating with completely different rulesets, like inconsistency in driving the speed limit (most people 10-15 mph under, then a small percentage 20+ over), driving in any which lane they please; people who don't know how to drive in the rain; people who don't know how to merge; incessant construction zones; random lane or road closures/construction at night, and many other things that I don't have time to get into, as well as random traffic congestion for no reason. The only city I've been in where it is worse was in a third world country.

Marseille, LA? Way better, there's a consistent set of rules that people follow, even if it seems anarchic at first. In Dallas, everyone is driving with a different set of rules, and nobody is looking for a motorcycle.

What you describe sound most like any latin country.

"I've been in where it is worse was in a third world country. "
This is where you are mistaken, is not about thir world country is about blood origin.
Latin countries are like that even those that are in Europe, for example Italy, Spain, Portugal, Rumania, some places in France.....

You will see in countries that are mostly saxons people tend to respect rules..

When you see a sign that says "STOP" it means STOP....
If you to Latin Countries, you will see signs that say "PARE" which means STOP, you will see that people doesn't stop, just slow down a tiny bit and then accelerates again.
In countries like China, people drive like crazy people because they are either first or second gen drivers, so there isn't a big driving culture....
In Latin countries people been driving since the days of the Ford T or like we called in Argentina Ford a bigotes.... and they drive like crazy becuase latin blood....

If you can get 80mpg with a CG250 efi or not, then consider yourself very lucky.

I don't understand the concern about fuel economy at all. My Hawk gets 55mpg and that's wonderful to me. Try driving my Toyota 4x4 (12mpg) or my big Chevy K20 that gets 8mpg.

I finally ran out my first tank of gas,72.222 mpg.
It was about 1/3 freeway at 7,000 rpms
1/3 around town and back roads
1/3 offroad,dirt roads,single track and 2 track.
Bike only has 170 miles on it so I’m guessing it’s going to get better as it breaks in...
