XPro- Vader / Condor 150 build complete, parts list.

This is a new thread summarizing the main mods I've done so far with parts, that makes my Vader 150 (same for Condor 150) complete.
My intent was to keep the bike as stock looking as possible, and making it better for a commuter bike.
If I were to mod a similar bike like this again, I would purchase and install the items listed from the get-go.
The bike currently has about 800 miles on it, so certain mods may not work well on a brand new bike that still has to go through the break-in.

0- Generic Parts you'll need:
I use a bolt and nut variety assortment for most of my builds, rather than go to the store and get a bolt or nut of specific sizes, which can end up costing more than a variety pack.

I personally use Lithium grease for my chain. It's less sticky than the other stuff out there, attracts less debris and sand:

Most of my chains have lasted 4k miles at least, this is without stunting, but a lot of highway.

I also use a coat of black Rust-Oleum paint on all bolts, nuts and black pieces of frame or other, where bare metal can be seen, or rust can form. This includes pins, cotter pins, washers, nuts, bolts... Half a can is more than enough:

Additional coating for areas on the bottom of the frame, subject to mechanical impact from pebbles, road debris, sand, etc...; using black Plastidip (overcoating the Rust-Oleum paint). Need less than 1/2 can per bike. Additionally you can paint your rims with this stuff, in any color they offer.

After coating my chain with lithium grease, I paint it with plastidip, decreasing the surface area that can rust on the chain, lengthening it's life.


Main mods

1- swapping sprockets
From the stock 15/34T to a 17/29T (easy),
or if you don't mind grinding down 1/4 inĀ² off the sprocket cover (where the starter/stator meets), a 18/30T would fit best.

2- change the exhaust.

Silencer tip needs an additional 8mm nut installed on the bolt that holds it to the muffler.
Also Loctite it!
The silencer tip only handles about 125cc. This bike is a 138cc, and the exhaust tip (silencer) is only spot welded at 3 spots. Many people have complained that it's not strong enough.
I'm still looking into welding or soldering it tight.
You'll need to use an angle grinder, to grind off about 2mm on the front motor mount, for the exhaust to fit.

3- Exhaust also needs an additional baffle installed, aside from the silencer tip.

Remove the silencer tip, remove the bottom screw holding the end cap, just mount the silencer baffle below in series with the silencer tip, using a longer bolt like a 50mm M12, and use the end cap on the baffle.

This will cause the bike to be quieter at higher speeds.


4- Carburetor swap
I used a replacement PZ27, since my OEM carburetor was too rich at idle, and I couldn't find replacement jets.

5- Jetting
You'll need a 112 main jet at sea level, 110 main jet in hot dry air, or the 108 pack if you live at an altitude exceeding 100ft above sea level.

The PZ I bought comes with a 35 pilot jet, which is somewhat lean in my area, but 2 full turns out on the A/F screw really fixes most issues, except for minor exhaust rumbling when decelerating.
I would recommend a 38 pilot.

6- Intake
Florida air is clean, so I used the stock air filter included with the PZ27.
I'd recommend the ones with a short of a nozzle as possible.
The curved ones aren't necessary, and only reduce performance.
Aluminum tubes also aren't necessary. They help with low RPM stability, but take off some top end power.

7- Seat

Put foam on seat, cover with medium cover, then cover with Large cover.

Will improve seat comfort for longer journeys drastically.
The foam I used was slightly more firm, but lots more expensive.

8- Handlebar Risers
The Vader 150 comes with 1" handlebar risers.
You can remove them, and instead install 1.25" risers, and install the stock handlebar risers on top, for a total rise of ~2" (5cm).

You just need 60-65mm bolts to mount both of the risers on the bike.
