Hello From Alberta

Hello All,
Just joined up to check out the excellent info on this site. I have a 110 Mini Beast for my son and a 200 Beast for myself. Just finished up assembly on the Mini the other day, purrs like a kitten! Loving them so far, great bang for the buck! Few carb issues (I think) on the 200, but otherwise awesome machines. Hoping to pick up tons of pointers here. Our usage will just be light trail riding... No jumping, or fording or rock climbing... Lol, getting too old for that stuff! Cool site though, glad I found it!

Regards,
Stew

Welcome!

I'm a former Albertan; what part of the province are you from?

Thanks guys. So far I am enjoying the Chinese quad experience and was pleasantly surprised with the products after reading all the horror stories on the net. They each took about 2.5 hours to assemble, though they still need tweaked. No hurry on the tweaking, our weather kind of took a nosedive so I have lots of time. Oh and I am from a small town half hour North East of Edmonton Weldangrind, what part of AB did you used to live in?

Regards,
Stew

I was raised in Sherwood Park (I haven't grown up yet). After my wife and I got married, we moved to the south side of Edmonton.

You must be somewhere near the Fort.

Yup, well, Redwater actually. Spend lots of time in the Fort though. My sisters both have places in the Fort and my brother in law just got a mini beast for his son a couple of weeks ago. Lucky stiffs have 20 acres .

Stew

Hey there,
I'm a grizzled vetran of at least a week here ....welcome.

I was impressed with the value as well. I guess I expected it to rust away before my very eyes or something.

I've got a thread going in the ATV section that I'm going to organize as soon as I fix my choke issue on my Beast.

Cheers

Pete

Ahh, I will have to check out your thread. My beasts carb issue is that every once in a while it will stumble while you are riding... Almost like it is flooding? Then if you feather the throttle like crazy it will roar back to life and take off. Smells of gas often when it does this. Weather is supposed to get better this weekend, so might get a chance to play around with it. Me and my boy need to get some 4 wheelin under our belts... Get us both out of the house!

Regards,
Stew
