narrow seat
I finally got my new RX3 out of the crate and the first time I sat on it I knew the stock seat has to go. There's too much crown and it feels like it wants to push me forward.
Has anyone tried the narrow Seat Concepts seat? Is it flatter across and does it eliminate the forward feel of the stock seat? |

I have the narrow seat.
IMO, the only advantage is that the nose of the seat is narrower, allowing short-legged riders to reach the ground more easily. I believe most have reported that the tall seat is flatter, and more comfortable than the stock seat. There have been photos posted before, if you can find them. Many photos no longer appear because of the PhotoBucket fiasco. jb

I found the stock seat more comfortable

I would take your bike to an auto/motorcycle upholstery shop and have them work with you on the bike to improve the comfort. It would also probably be a lot cheaper than the tall seat. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 180. So take my measurements into consideration before making a choice. Good luck and I hope you find comfort! |

I have the SeatConcept low seat and it definitely pushes me forward. I have the sheepskin/gel seat cover and an Airhawk over that to almost make it right but I'll be getting an upholsterer to redo it for me. 5'7" 200 lb.

I have the narrow seat on one RX3 and the tall seat on the other.
I'm 6' and about 220 currently. I like the tall seat but I have to admit, the narrow seat on Mrs. 2LZ RX3 is quite comfy. It lets your thighs stay in closer to the bike.
