Bent front rim
I bent my front rim on my Hawk 250 (carb) with only 300 miles on it. I need to replace it. I see the TaoTao parts listing shows one for that bike but not one for the Hawk. The CSC motorcycles site shows the full replacements for the TT250 but $600 is beyond me now. Where can I get a decent rim/wheel for my Hawk?
Thanks. |

If your hub is still good maybe you could buy an aftermarket rim and have a local shop lace the wheel for you.

The rim size should be stamped into the side of the rim. Something like 1.6 x 21. CSC probably has new rims for a reasonable price or they are readily from almost any motorcycle shop. Lacing the new rim can be done by a shop or DIY. You might even find a bicycle mechanic that want some work on the side for a few extra bucks. There is some skill involved but it's not rocket surgery.

Don't know if it's the right size...but it is 21"...gives you a starting place.
