Hawk wider footpegs
My battery will not hold a charge any longer, so had to kick start the Hawk. Being so short legged, I will lower the kickstand and stand on the pegs to start. All I have to say is those footpegs have got to go!
Searching all possibilities, I got a lead on some better footpegs that might work on the Hawk. They are only @ $25.00, so I figured I could be the Guinee pig if they do or don't fit/work. I'll let ya know in a week or so. Stay tuned... Kirk |

Well the lead on the foot pegs turned out a little bit of fabrication to make them work. The pegs were from a 85-01 xr100, but come to find out there are two different style pegs they use for the xr100 (twin shock vs. pro-link). I got the pro-link ones. With a little modifications they could work, but I am looking for, "bolt on and go." I mean the pegs are not that far off form level, yet you could live with it if you know what I mean.
Have one last lead on using pegs from a 95-96 KTM 125SX, hard to find. Seems like all pegs on the KTM from 98 and up are different, and not too many pegs to be found for '96 and below. Found ebay had a set, so I am trying them...I'll let you know... Kirk |

SlowR, they would tilt your feet forward towards the ground. My thoughts were to drill the rear of the peg mount with a bigger drill bit, and that would level the footpeg out. Only thing is, there is not enough metal on the peg mount to do that, and I fear it would break. You would have to weld more material to the back of the mount, like a washer or something, and I believe it would work.
