Tao motors tbr7 2020
The 2020 TAO MOTORS TBR7 Aka TAO TAO, TAO Motor Racing
Looks like a 2018 as it has a Drum rear whereas the 2019's are supposed to have Disc Rear brakes. https://taomotor.com/products/motorcycles/2019-tbr7/ (official Tao motors site) https://taomotor.com/products/motorc...owners-manual/ owners manul CONCEPT- My Idea was to save notes on stuff that relates to the TAO MOTORs TBR7 and share them here so others could use them also This would include links, youtube vids, pdfs (if allowed) etc on the following
The TBR7 is very similar to the RPS Hawk, and not all upgrades and fixes will be the same but ALOT will be SPECIFICATIONS (according to manufacturer's site) POWER TRAIN Engine Air-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke Displacement 229cc Horsepower ?. Torque ? FYI ONLY....
My 2019 TBR7 purchased from TXPowersports in April of last year came with rear disc brakes not drum. Not all "2019" models have rear DRUM, unless they were offloading 2018s and false advertising as 2019 |

I ended up putting an E3 spark plug in (E3.36). Sparks fantastic, and does not fowl up like other plugs I have used. Work great on 2 strokes as well since they self clean really well
I went with this chain had to cut 2 links off of it chain was $19, wanted it a little longer just in case didn't know the exact size needed for the increase in sprocket size, now my tires all the way forward so as the chain looses I have a lot of adjustment JT Sprockets (JTC428HDR132SL) Steel 132-Link 428 HDR Heavy Duty Drive Chain (Off amazon) And this is the 17 tooth sprocket I got was about $10 (Off Amazon) JT Sprockets JTF259.17 17T Steel Front Sprocket Great tool I have coming in of Friday is this off amazon to square up the back tire to keep the chain/sprocket wear to a minimum Motion Pro 08-0048 Chain Alignment Tool $15 Anyone have any luck finding a great aftermarket LED headlight? I have found some but am worried they won't work on this bike Last edited by Borg; 03-11-2020 at 03:22 PM. |

Here's what I am going to be using (yes sprocket part #'s match for front) but the brand new stock chain does not fit with the 17 teeth Front sprocket and stock rear sprocket (sooo close though) JT Sprockets JTR269.45 45T Steel Rear Sprocket JT Sprockets JTF259.17 17T Steel Front Sprocket Once I get the new Sprocket bolts(ordered genuine? honda ones) and new chain I will swap them all out for the above....

Adjusting the headlight on the Tao Tao Tbr7:
Remove front fender (4 bolts on the under side), once fender is off look up and under the light housing. You will see an 8mm bolt and a washer on a plastic slider track. Loosen and push the headlight in from the top, you will see the bolt slides toward your or to the front. Then tighten and put the fender back on. I found the light to be 4 feet in front of me when it arrived, once adjusted I am getting about 15-20 feet on low beam and about 25ish feet on high beam |
