Head Scratching zongshen gs250 redline

I was surfing around on youtube and noticed this video..
In the video the speedometer shows KMH so I know its not a USA version..
But I want to know why and how can I get the CDI that is not de-regulated that will allow my great bike to go over 6200rpm like this one
I have searched around and found other CDI units but I want to make sure I get one that is quality..
and following SpudRider's advice and having a extra one (original one will be backup)
2006 Zongshen gs 250
engine is a ZS172FMM
in components catalog its called ignition module #81200-M567-0000
thoughts? links?
break it down for me my new friends..

I must admit; I am confused about the ZS250GS CDI units. The wiring diagrams I have found for this bike indicate it employs a DC-CDI unit. However, CovairKid was told his ZS250GS uses the same, AC-CDI unit as my ZS200GY-2. Perhaps the ZS250GS bikes sold in the United States employ a different CDI unit than the bikes sold in other countries. If the ZS250GS bikes sold in the United States actually use the same, AC-CDI unit as my ZS200GY-2, you are out of luck. I don't know of any "performance CDI-units" sold for my ZS200GY-2.

Incidentally, that video scared the daylights out of me, and we only got a view of the instruments!

I don't believe that tach for a moment. The tach on my new China bike says it is idling at four grand, which isn't even close.

I'm sure that you could find a performance CDI on eBay, but you'd need to make sure it's compatible.

I seriously doubt it would work. The pin connections are definitely different. You can find the wiring diagram for my Zongshen 200GY-2 in the European Service Manual, which is available for download in the Zong Sticky, located at the top of the Dual Sport Forum.

That's the higest mileage/km I/we have ever seen on a GS250 odometer that I can recall.

The fastest mine ever turned was whatever the starter could spin it at.

No way is it pulling those RPM's. That's getting up into the range of a modern motocrosser.

I don't know if I would trust that tachometer, either. However, the TW200 engine has a redline of 10,500 rpms. The ZS250GS engine has a larger bore than my ZS200GY-2 engine, but both engines are essentially the same as the TW200 engine. My Zong engine loves to rev, and it will do it all day long. This little engine doesn't make any power unless it revs a bit. However, I'm still not a big advocate of performance CDI units.

I know it likes to rev.. I can feel the power band coming in right around the time it starts to cut out...
I wish it would just rev past 6100 kinda lame that it cant preform how it wants too...
I dont really care about a performance cdi jsut a unrestricted one..
I live chatted with a alibaba company that sells a cdi that is stock but no limiter..
well thats what I asked them.. if they translated or understood thats another question..
a usa seller or a middle man link or number would be awesome..hint hint hint...

Examine your CDI unit for writing. Is it a ZS067-001 unit?

Can you please post another photograph of the connectors for your CDI unit?
