Hi there! Converting CG125 to 250
Hi there guys, been a lurker for quite some time but decided to make an account and get stuck in. I've got a 1996 CG125T that I've used as a runner for the as couple of years but as I've been moving onto different bikes I thought I might as well have a bit of fun and see if I can get a bigger engine in it and maybe something more.
I've seen Zongshen and a couple of other brands and a big bore kit for 250cc but trying to figure out what won't blow up 10 miles into a trip. I've got a 1995 nighthawk that runs well but I don't really use but I doubt the engine would fit in there. Where can I find this Hawk 250 engine everyone talks about and is it as simple as a bolt on? Either way great to finally say hello! |

Hello, best of luck with that! If you decide to go the 200 route, you'll also need longer pushrods and studs.

A complete engine swap would be less painful. A few options. https://shop.brozz250.com/eshopprod_...e_Assembly.htm
