Hawk 250 sprockets, carb, new user shoutout to motoscheese
I'm a new user to China riders. I got my hawk recently, i have owned a few other bikes. So far I'm impressed with the hawk. I've made a few mods added 17-45 sprockets. Cut into my Air box and snipped the sides and turned my blinker noise off thanks to mtotcheese. Added new clutch and breaks. Added new speedometer. I have never changed or modified a carb, I want info with anyone who has done this on the hawk? Also I know with my crf (before being smashed) the front sprocket fit snugly with hardly any wiggle, but with hawk(and many other bikes) it wiggles just a little bit. Is this normal for the hawk?

Welcome. Did you buy used? Why the new brakes and clutch?

Welcome!
Yes, the countershaft sprocket is meant to wiggle. The retaining plate secures it, but the sprocket is allowed some lateral play.
