Hawk DLX - does it have fmvss, NHTSA label?
Des Moines Iowa resident here, having a great time figuring the legal mumbo jumbo out
I am in Iowa and the DMV keeps telling me it needs the federal safety sticker aka fmvss sticker aka NHTSA label. Does the Hawk 250 DLX have that sticker? I heard the Bashan's have it, but TX POWER SPORTS website doesn't say that the Hawk DLX 250 doesn't have it, but it does say that the normal Hawk 250 doesn't have it....? It should be on the top tube where the forks and handlebars are connected to the frame I would guess, can anyone confirm? If not I might have to go with a Bashan that Jos pointed out in his thread: https://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=27751 Last edited by ulemon; 02-02-2021 at 09:17 PM. |

It SHOULD considering it has appeared on the EPA/DOT certification list as a 49-state 'On-Highway Vehicle' but I understand a few states won't plate it based on the VIN which is too close to its EPA certified 'Off-Road Motorcycle' brother. But those states are probably lame, trying to emulate California,
