Thumbs Up New Member Shamokin, PA

Hello everyone. I am new here and just sold my Suzuki GS500F and am using the funds to purchase a Chinese X22R 250 or better known by Dong Fang 250RTS model sport bike. I am very excited to get back into riding as the Suzuki was too much for me hence the sale and the down payment on the X22R.

I look forward to learning from this forum about my ride as well as other Chinese model sport bikes.

Thank you!!

Welcome! There is a ton of info here that will take you a month or two to read. LOL!!!
The people that post here are down to earth, kind, and very helpful. I am not an expert, but am learning and getting back into bikes after years went by. Post some pix and keep us updated!

Welcome to the forum. It's good that you can admit to yourself that the GS500F was a bit too much for you to get started. I think you will like the little X22R, even if it will seem a bit slow by comparison. Small bikes are a great way to learn how to ride and hone your skills without having to worry about putting down too much power or going way too fast.

I will say this, once you gain some confidence and are looking to upgrade to a bigger bike, keep the X22R around. You would be amazed at how much fun a small engine bike can be, even with its lack of power/speed.

Another bike you may want to consider is the Lifan KPR200, It is water cooled, Fuel injected with a 6 speed transmission and is capable of 75+ mph for a few hundred more but you will be getting a lot more bike for the money. http://shopapmc.com/New-American-Lif...line_p_58.html
