Ride out on my new Keeway 125 Street
Hi All, I am just running in my new Keeway Speed 125cc. The engine is tight enough but I am not pushing it too hard as I am trying to keep the revs under 7,000rpm in all gears and a top speed of 80 kph. The weather is very cold here in Ireland at present so I am just trying to ride an hour here and there to put up some mileage which is currently at 320km. I have heated grips on order to keep the frost bite at bay 8O. This is my first Chinese bike and I am impressed with the quality. This bike has been sold in Ireland for quite a few years now and is the top selling Chinese bike here. We have a Photo Rally here in Ireland which selects 24 locations all around the country and the idea is to take a photo of your machine at each selected location.
As I am based in the very south coast of the country near location 17 it will be a good achievement if I can visit the majority of the sites on a Chinese 125 as most people are on bikes > 750cc http://irishphotorally.com/year/2013 http://irishphotorally.com/ I think I would be the first person on a Chinese bike to do this if I succeed. |

No stops at Guiness or Kilkenny? I'd stop there. It's interesting to me that the Titanic Memorial Park is so far from Belfast.

Location 17 - Waterford Uploaded with ImageShack.us Location 18 - Cork (The Thatch Bar could do with some fresh Thatch!) As this bar is County Cork Murphys or Beamish (my favourite) Stouts would be more popular than Guinness Uploaded with ImageShack.us I have until November to complete at least 12! |

Interesting! The Beamish website says that they are locally and internationally renowned, yet you can't buy it in Waterford. Odd.
I'm going to see if my local shop can bring some in for me.
