Cracked Manifold Tip 'o' the Week

Remove the manifold, any o-rings, and apply masking tape to each end as they mate to the carb and cylinder. Block the monting holes from the "nut" end as well.

Go to your hardware store and get a container of Plasti-Dip, hopefully they will have black in stock. This product is used to repair and insulate tool handles and such. Clean the manifold of any grease or contaminants.

Apply a coat to the outside, wait until it dries completely, then apply some more. make sure to work the Plasti-dip into the cracks. Be neat about it, and dont try to apply too much at one time. Stop when you feel you have applied enough to make a healthy coat.

Let it dry completely and reinstall.

Unmask the manifold
